Waiting Room Gallery , Highlight , Exhibitions Metro Art x Leimert Park Threads Metro Art x Leimert Park Threads is a limited-release fashion collaboration between Metro Art and Leimert Park Threads founder Ashley Sky Walker, whose dynamic artwork portrays a journey along the K Line. Other Regional Connector Transit Project Three shiny new Metro rail stations in downtown LA mark the completion of the Regional Connector Transit Project. The A, E and L Lines are now two rail lines — the new A and E Lines. That means more direct rides between Azusa, East LA and beaches. Eight artists were commissioned to create site-specific, integrated artworks for the three new stations. Fourteen artists were commissioned to create integrated public artworks at the stations: Ingrid Calame, Eileen Cowin, Kenturah Davis, Dean Erdmann, Sherin Guirguis, Carlson Hatton, Mara Lonner, Rebeca Méndez, Geoff McFetridge, Erwin Redl, Kim Schoenstadt, Jaime Scholnick, Shinique Smith and Mickalene Thomas. Artworks Through the Eyes of Artists On select Metro buses in L.A. County Metro Art’s Through the Eyes of Artists poster series is celebrating its 20th year! For this commemoration, 20 posters from our archive will be on display on our buses in the coming months. You can also get them for free at Customer Service Centers while supplies last!
